A thread lift is a type of procedure wherein temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible "lift" in the skin. Up to 1:5cm. This has the effect of pulling the skin back slightly and therefore lifting and tightening the face. In addition to being ideal for lifting the skin, threads combat aging in another way: by provoking the body's "healing response" and causing the body to direct large surges of collagen to treated areas.
This is important because of the vital role collagen plays in the aging process.
As we get older, our bodies gradually produce less and less collagen, which leads to an 80% reduction in skin thickness by about age 70. This loss of volume and strength is a large factor in the creation of excess skin and wrinkles. As the skin grows weaker, it's no longer able to support the tissues beneath it adequately, meaning that gravity pulls it downwards and stretches it. Infusing the skin of the face with fresh collagen when the signs of skin laxity are still mild can help to both reduce looseness (by thickening and hydrating the skin) and prevent it from getting worse (by strengthening the skin).
In other words, this process provides ongoing and progressive rejuvenation for the facial tissues. Patients who have a thread lift for the purpose of stimulating collagen will notice a gradual improvement in their skin's tone and firmness. While their threads are in place, the body's healing response will be constantly activated because the body will want to "heal" the sutured areas and expel the sutures. Dr Aliaa uses Monofilament & Polyfilament threads, which are used in a lattice-work arrangement, inserted into the dermis.
Usually around 50 -120 threads
Fortunately, because the threads placed under the skin during a thread lift are so small, the patient will not feel any of this happening. Most people cannot feel their sutures at all once the skin has healed around them.
Results will be seen from 1 - 8 months. As mentioned above it is a gradual and cumulative process.
Combined Treatments
Threads can be used in conjunction with other treatments for the best effects. Using threads in combination with dermal fillers will give superior results by addressing the issue of volume. Use of threads in conjunction with Dermapen microneedling will give improved results,
as it may help to tighten excess skin to a limited degree.

A Jessner Peel is great for those with acne, thick skin, skin discoloration, moderate wrinkles, and oily skin. Oil production will be decreased and clogged sebaceous follicles will be opened. A Jessner Peel works great for those with dull skin, white spots on the face, and lip creases.
A Jessner Peel combines lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol to exfoliate the skin and penetrate deeper into the skin’s layers. A Jessner peel is for both men and woman who have acne, fine lines or uneven skin tones. It is not recommended for those with darker skin tones.

A Jessner Peel can help to not only reduce the appearance of acne, but also reduce hyper pigmentation of the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles can be smoothed out, and the skin will be given a youthful glow. The complexion will be improved greatly, and pores may be reduced in size. A Jessner Peel can be used to assists with treatment of Melasma.
Side effects of the Salicylate & Jessner Peel include infection to the skin if peeling skin is removed prematurely, mild redness, temporary swelling of the area, and itching. Cold sores could also appear,
but will only appear if you are already susceptible to them.
Some people are not good candidates for a Salicylate & Jessner Peel. Those include anyone that has a sunburn, cold sores, or severe asthma. Those with Lupus, Rosacea, Eczema, and Psoriasis will not be able to have a Jessner Peel done. Those with severe cystic inflamed acne should not have this procedure done. Pregnant woman, those that are breastfeeding, and those with chronic skin conditions will not be good candidates for a Jessner Peel.
If there are skin lesions or broken skin, the Jessner Peel will not be able to be performed.
If one has used Accutane in the past 6 months, a Jessner Peel will not be performed.
Those taking vitamin A topical need to be off them for at least one week prior to a treatment.
